Our school district serves Concow, Butte Valley, Yankee Hill, Cherokee, and beyond.  The Camp Fire started in our school district on November 8, 2018 before moving to Paradise, CA. Most families, including myself, lost everything on that day.  Post Camp Fire, we moved to our Spring Valley campus located in Butte Valley.  Though the district was in declining enrollment for decades, the trend has reversed and the district is seeing enrollment increase.

Since 2016, the following has created a better experience for students in our rural district:

• Brought an abandoned school site back to life post Camp Fire.
• Implemented a 1:1 student to device ratio
• Common Core English language arts and math curriculum adoption
• Reducing suspension rates by implementing an academic and behavioral reassignment program
• New physical education program
• New schoolwide reading intervention
• New electives including band, personal finance, Spanish, and more!
• Full PBIS implementation
• New playground structure
• Many more with more to come…
